On August 29, 2023, His Excellency, Ambassador Kwacha Chisiza visited the mayor of Yokohama City, Dr. Takeharu. The discussion centered on strengthening cooperation between Malawi and Yokohama and the upcoming Tokyo International Conference on Africa Development 9 (TICAD9) Summit in 2025. Chisiza discussed technical collaboration in the water sector and waste management.
