As one way of responding to the Malawi government’s appeal for international assistance for the victims of Cyclone Freddy, the Malawi Embassy in Japan, led by His Excellency Ambassador Kwacha Chisiza held a Press Conference on 11th April, 2023, at the Japan Press Center. Various Japanese Media houses and Organisations attended the Press Conference.

Among other issues, His Excellency the Ambassador updated the Press on the devastating effects of Tropical Cyclone Freddy and called for the support of Japanese Non Governmental Organizations, the Private sector as well as persons of good- will to assist the victims.
